snow

So we ended up with just over half a foot in some spots. (under the pine trees nothing.) It has turned to a cold rain and is a real heavy slushy snow. Lots of power outages and trees snapping as the leaves were already out.

The planned golfing for tomorrow looks like it will probably be a bust.

Today I have been going through old photographs.

Christmas?

What a beautiful winter day...... umm wait a minutes it's April Frigging 27th. what's up with this.
Congrats to the Bruins, who finished off Buffalo last night. Next round either Pittsburgh or Philly. It doesn't get any easier from here. The good news is that it looks like Marc Savard is poised for a return from his concussion.

On a different note, I have caved. I now have a facebook account. My masters program is starting to put stuff on there and so I felt I had to, so if anyone is on there feel free to look me up. I have to be honest though, I don't seemyself using it much.

Great News

We just got home today and in our mail we found some great news. First off was my renewed license. yeah!! but even more important was notice that Beth has been approved for her preschool endorsement. The work of the past 3 years has payed off. we are very happy and wil be celebrating all vacation long.
We also ran into Jim and Jodie on our way home. It was great seeing them and we absolutely must make time to do more with our local friends They only live 10-15 minutes down the road and we haven't really done anything with them in years. It's amazing how time and life can let these things pass you by and we are going to resolve to reconnect with everyone.

Kick ass

We went to see Kick ass today. Boy it was not what I expected. First let me say the rated R rating is VERY WELL DESERVED!!!

With that said... I kind of liked it..... but whew, I wish I had a better idea of the story before seing it.

Makes the Dark Knight Returns look like a bedtime story.

So it's been a long week. I took yesterday off after getting a wicked fever and aches. Thank goodness it only lasted a day and I'm feeling fine now. I'm excited about the hockey playoffs. Glad the Bruins made it and I'm looking forward to todays game on NBC. It would be nice to steal a game at Buffalo. Not sure if the B's have any chance of making it past the first round with their lack of scoring and all the injuries. But the young goalie Rask is pretty awesome. It's also great that they get the overall # 2 draft pick next year. Thanks Kessell. Enjoy playing golf.
There's a neat video if you like coldplay:

Beth and I are thinking of heading out sometime this weekend to see the movie Kick-ass. Hopefully it will be good.

We haven't heard the coyotes in a while, however two nights ago I saw a strange looking cat-like animal down by the horseshoe pits. At first I thought Fisher, but the more I think about it the less I think so. Might have just been a strange looking feral cat. Beth got freaked taking Denali out last night. Seems as though the owl was back in the apple tree. She didn't see it but as she went down the deck stairs she said there was a loud woosh from the tree over head.

Time to get the outdoor cam going again and start seeing whats happening around our house at night.

made it in style

Great weekend so far. A bit cooler than last weekend, but we got a fair bit of sun. Between Thursday and today the Bruins did what they had to for locking up 6th place and making the playoffs. Yesterdays game against the Whalers.... I mean Carolina was fantastic. 3 shorties on the same power play and Bergy's empty net save were unreal.

Now i'm wondering if Tiger will pull out a win. Great eagle and down to 9 under. If he had only parred the three bogies today he would be tied for the lead.

Happy Easter

It's been a beautiful weekend here in Vermont. Yesterday we went for a nice walk up at Knights Point, a park/beach area. Officially it was closed, but Vt is nice enough to keep the gates open so you can "sneak in' and use the nature trail. We were surprised that we were the only ones there. Denali had lots of fun. Dad, I thought you'd like the pick of the Shagbark Hickory on the trail. We don't see many of these around here.
