Plattsburgh

We headed across the pond today to pick up our New York Fishing Licenses. A bit shocked to see that the season long non residents price went from 40 bucks apiece to 70. Sheesh. I wouldn't even mind if the money went into the Fish and Wildlife, or conservation or Adirondack DEC or something, however the Governer has decided to put this money into the general fund. what a waste. We came this close (imagine my two fingers spread about an inch apart) from not getting them. I wonder how much the state has lost from people who can't afford to go fishing. Unreal!!!

On a soccer note, Missed the game, but good luck Ghana as you move on and congrats to the US for making a run of it.

Earthquake

At around 1:40 as I was in the bedroom with Denali and Beth was in the livingroom, we felt a little shakin. At first I thought it was Denali on the bed, but then Beth came in and asked if I had felt it. The USGS has confirmed a 1:41 PM 5.5 E-quake centered near Ottawa.

Unbelievable game. Disallowed goal they should have had, then Landon Donavon in the 91st minute. Unreal. Good Luck in the second round USA.

Lunch on the Lake

Today we took advantage of the nice day to charter out on the Spirit of Ethan Allen III for their "Lunch on the Lake" cruise. It was very nice. Later we'll hit the gym and work off the great food we had.

Here's a video of my 12 string. Hopefully it came out okay, I tried recording a few times, got frustrated and zipped out a quick one without editing.

Yes the Ukelele can be a really cool. This guy also did a great version of What a wonderful world. Many times these are played one after another almost as a medley. Awesome. The student who filmed last year at the coffeehouse has played this arraingement before. I'm going to try on the guitar but it won't be the same.

Hey Aunt Judy, When you are in Hawaii, when you see a nice uke for sale... just kidding. Not sure if we will talk before you leave so have fun!!!

This one's for you Pete.

We went to the movies last night. We saw "Letters to Juliet". It was a good night. The movie was enjoyable and we had fun. Today it's off to the gym and then who knows. The weather looks like it'll be crummy. I'll try to post a pic or two of Denali later.
