Close series. game 7 overtime.

although all our prayers are with Beth's sister and the baby.

She is heading out tomorrow weather and flooding dependant.

The bunny came in last night at around 11:00 with a 2nd OT win for the good guys.

Lake Placid

So we headed up to Lake Placid on a rainy, nasty day. We knew the Bruins were up there practicing for Thurs. Night against Montreal, but didn't really expect to see them. Surprise!!!! they were in the practice rink behind the main Miracle on Ice rink. We couldn't get into the rink and we didn't have a great camera (in other words our cell phone) but you can see some of the players here: Timmy Thomas, Zdeno Chara, and Lucic namely. The practice was fairly low key and it looked like all players were there. Mostly they were doing breakaway drills and free skating circles while we were ther. Unreal how tall Chara is, And Timmy had his trademark smile whenever he lifted his mask. We hoped to see them about town after practice, but alas no such luck. I guess Yesterday they did the downtown thing. Many of the shopowners indicated that they were very nice and open to meeting their fans. Funny connection in that out waitress at luch had a daughter who played goalie for UVM during the Chelsea Furlani years. (She still didn't give us a deal though)

Get outta town

We got up early today and headed down to Quechee. Had a nice lunch. Visited our usual haunts... Simon Pierce, Antique Mall, the gorge etc... Then home through Killington and Rutland with a stop at a Ben and Jerry's (today is our splurge day of the week). As we arrived in Shelburne at around 5:00 we get a call from Beth's folks. Guess where they were? Yup sitting in our driveway. Sometimes you wish you had done the laundry and dishes Friday night instead of saying "ahhh we'll do em later" Anyways, we are enjoying their company tonight. Pics to come.
